If you're a chiropractor and you haven't heard of Google My Business Messaging, you're not alone. Google My Business Messaging is free and a way for new patients to contact you via their phone, right from Google maps. If you don't have it turned on, you're missing the boat. But again, you're not alone. There's a lot of chiropractors that don't even know anything about it. I'm going to show you the way it works.
As we know, our smartphones are the number one way people are reaching out to us. I Googled chiropractors in Long Beach to see if anybody was using it. I didn't find one. We know, there are probably 20 to 25 chiropractors within a 10 to 12-mile radius of your office. I pulled up chiropractors on my phone using Google Maps and patients are on Google Maps looking for a local chiropractor, are you making it easy for them to connect with your office?
Today's market is extremely savvy when it comes to prescreening Chiropractors before they actually choose their healthcare provider. Long past are the days when people opened up the yellow pages and picked the office with the nicest looking ad.
Statistics show that before a patient ever picks up the phone to call your office, they have already done their due diligence using the internet.
With that in mind, it's important to understand the 2 key places that a potential patient uses to pre-qualify your practice. Around 60-70% of all potential patients are looking at your website and your Facebook page before they decide to call your office and book their first appointment.

So if you're a local business, which you are, if you're a chiropractor, you need to have Google My Business Messaging installed turned on and make sure you get instant notifications. You do have it enabled there are a couple of things that I want to mention to be successful with it. You want to make sure you reply back to anybody that sends you a message within 24 hours. Google is actually monitoring your responses. Google even sends the user a notification to see if they were happy with your response. Again make sure you respond otherwise Google will remove the messaging feature from your account Google wants the user to have a good experience.
I'm going to show you what we're doing for our customers, with what we call "inBox One", that way you don't miss any of those messages. But again, if you're on google maps, you know, if you're looking for a chiropractor in your town and you could go through any one of these chiropractors listed.

We all know people are using their phones to search local businesses using Google Maps. And chiropractic offices are no different. So if you're a local business, which you are, if you're a chiropractor, you need to have Google my business messaging installed. This little tab right here lets you know if Google Messaging is turned for your office. if you don't see this tab, when you are on your phone then you don't have it installed.
If you have Google messaging-enabled here's an important fact, you have 24 hours to reply (faster is better) to the message. Google is actually monitoring this. If you're not replying back, Google will disable messaging, on your account. Google messaging wants the user to have a good experience. They even send the user a google survey the following day. Keep this in mind if someone is sending you a message Saturday at 2am and you don't respond till Monday morning.
